I don't see how we can possibly do better than last year, mate, and even that was underwhelming.

I don't mean to be negative though.

I don't really feel right though saying that to someone who seemingly has bought a lot of kits and season tickets over the years. He's put a lot more money into the club than I have.

At the end of last Season I said the same, that was it for me, I wasnt willing to "invest" anymore of my cash into a Club that is so badly mismanaging my "investment".

But then the renewal came and I ignored it, I should have just binned it, it ate away at me and I caved in.

I havent bought the top yet, but I will, cos im a freaking mug.

And I also disagree with your point.

We can improve on last Season, we can start like a train and we can turn those horrible draws at Home against the "lesser teams" into wins, we can continue to stuff our "peers".

I said a few weeks ago.

On our day, with the right players, we can smash anybody, I believe in our players, if they start doing the same we can win the League lad.*

*I got a bit carried away at the end there, but the rest was from the head, the end was from the heart.

good on ya fella, people who think we are going to have good start to the season becoz we ave got a good team bonding we have been togeter for years ect needs 2 give there heads wobble, at the start of every pre-season every 1st team player from prem down to league 2 looks forword to seeing wot new face's they are playing with and its that that gives them that extra boost and lift and that goes into the new season players are just like fans when they dont see new faces and abition being bought into the team

To be honest you're right mate. I've let this transfer debacle warp my opinions.

I said last year all along our main problem was a tactical one, not a transfer one. Yes we need a striker and a winger, but we also need to not draw to teams like Wigan and West Ham. If Moyes can learn from last season and look at the formations that worked and what roles suited his players best, then I think we would be able to improve significantly. And assuming we don't lose anyone we'll have a stronger team simply because of the natural improvements the youngsters and the likes of Beckford will make and have made.

Agree with this. Traditionally, Moyes would still be seen as quite young for a manager at this level, and I'm sure he'd freely admit that he is still learning his trade to an extent. And to be fair, its not like he's not had enough time to get used to this group of players!

We've seen how he can get the best out of some of the squad, now I'd like to see him getting the best out of ALL of the squad. That should push us on a bit regardless of signings
