Everton Fans In The USA

@johnnydawg68 The greatest evertonian outside of Liverpool i've ever had the good grace to meet.

Cheers mate. I'm dying to get back. I think I may try for the beginning of next season in August. That trip will live with me forever. It's almost exactly a year ago (Easter weekend 2014).

Regarding the article, this stuck out as absolutely nailed on:

"We have the most engaged fans in the world! Everton has no casual fans. Every Evertonian is fully engaged and knows the team thoroughly. If you see someone wearing an Everton kit in the U.S., it means they know football and they live Everton. Everton's support is notoriously the most fervent and the most friendly, and the combination is just intoxicating".

Hi lads I'm in Atlanta, home of Coca Cola and I brush my teeth four times a day. I live in the burbs and drive my SUV into the city every day.

I go to a downtown sports bar every Saturday morning and shout for Everton, but I'm the only one hollering. I have ever modelled my grooming on T-How but there's just me. I'm so alone.
Just about got it right!

In Louisville, KY. I HAVE met a fellow Blue fan (apart from the small Toffee support group that goes to the sports bar- mostly just for Derbys.) He WAS (is) Irish.

Of the Everton social media I participate on, I would say that there is a clear contingent of USA Evertonians that blindly support #24, but it is not all of us. Hard to overcome stereotypes though when those guys are out there.

Converted a new Blue when I was in Newport Beach last month. We watched us beat QPR on TV and I taught him the words to "never felt more like singin' the Blues... ". he later walked into a bar full of Reds in the Everton shirt I gave him and started singing it. Everton that.

He's now coming to his first ever Everton game versus villa away in a few weeks. "Once Everton has touched you..."

i know that sounds a bit sickening to suggest evertonians are boss, with the exception of megahead they really are.

This.

I'll forget the trip I took with the missus last September the minute I die, jdawg. What a crew. Can't keep up with you mate (who can?) but we all will be living the dream through you when you go again.

Once you've been touched by Everton nothing will ever be the same. Simple, straightforward, yet true. If you have to ask why, you'll never understand.

Pipe down, you. He's an exceptional bellend, our megahead. Megaboss, nay, Clarksonian levels of bellendness at that.

Once @chicoazul has touched you no amount of counseling or pharmaceutical input can ever make you the same again.

We could do without the likes of them to be honest.
