Everton fan in the Park End

Although we were furious over the penalty decision, it pales into utter insignificance when we heard that an Everton supporter sadly lost his life at the age of 51 (the same age as my dad when he too died of a heart attack) at the game on Saturday. RIP to the gentleman and every sympathy to his family and friends. There is a thread on the Stoke message board with many messages of condolence. We are not all hooligans!

It's just twigged with me. I knew Derek "Deggsy" Acker when we were kids. We used to knock around together, along with his brother Chris. FFS I'm absolutely devastated. RIP Deggsy lad - a true blue and a good friend. My thoughts and condolences are with Derek's family.
