Everton crest NOT allowed on GrandOldTeam

Hello,

Another polite reminder to ask that you all kindly refrain from displaying the Everton crest on GrandOldTeam.

The club do not authorise it's use on what they classify as unofficial sites and it can, and has, caused us problems in the past.

We're required to issue occasional reminders;

Our client has highlighted Player/Match Action Images, Club Crests and Fixtures among the posts and as member's avatar's in your forum https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum

I understand that due to the huge number of posts the tracking and removing of infringing images would prove difficult and very time consuming to perform.

A suggestion I have made with other football forums, is that when you do come across new images please take steps to remove them, but I would be grateful if you could post a message to members warning them of the issues in question.

The moderating team will unfortunately have to remove your avatar/post if it contains the Everton badge.

Of course. Fixtures perhaps surprising. Info. We don't publish the full fixture list on the website after legal challenge. We didn't consider a license fee for hundreds of pounds a year to represent value for money.

The point of the thread though, is just don't post the Everton badge

In order to infringe copyright protection you must have reproduced a substantial part of the work. Simply mentioning a fixture in an article or on a website prior to or after the match will not constitute a substantial part of the work. It is thought that however, more than one match will be deemed to be a substantial part of the work.

Just one then.

It's amazing to me that these sharks can lay claim to stuff like that and try and monetize it.
