Last thread was locked for some reason. Apologies if I've trod on any toes here for whatever reason.

Anybody noticed that our namesakes, who got promoted into the top Chilean league last season, and narrowly avoided relegation, are currently second from top?

After a few bevvies one night, I started randomly following a team in Chile about 5 years ago, simply because of their name: O'Higgins. They seem to be the Arsenal of the Chilean league, always finishing 4th. I was pleasantly surprised when Everton turned up into the party, and now find myself in two minds when they face one another.

Vamos Everton!

they have a catchy as hell hymn.

like us they were bought last year and have had a cash influx (to coincide with their stadium being refurbished prior to Chile hosting the Copa Sudamaerica in 2015), so promotion, Copa finals before Colo Colo laid them to waste and doing well this season.

Wanted to get a kit both trips to Santiago. even with them up now, walked into about 12 sporting goods stores in Santiago in January and no luck finding that.

So, sort of like their English namesake in that regard!
