The next TV deal will bring in even more money than the current one...there will be more hats in the ring for rights and ITV have virtually said they will outbid the BBC whatever for the Match Of The Day style rights( extracts from all games available Saturday evening, etc) One offshoot of this, its thought in TV circles, has been the sacking of Adrian Chiles, Andy Townsend etc. ITV want a stronger team for the anticipated increase in their football coverage. There is also interest in football rights from two parties in the Middle East, and BT are looking for more matches...Sky will simply pay more to fend them off, but there is a scenario were five different broadcasters may each have a piece of the Prem League rights(Virgin are hovering as well, but they might just 'support' BT, because they would need to set up their own sports broadcasting team. Virgin could even ditch BT and jump in with Sky (they have just added Sky Sports News to their top packages).
Yes..more money will come to Everton when the next TV deals are signed..and the bidding starts very soon.
