Just came across this and thought I would post it here, in case anyone is curious. (Apologies if it's been posted already).

Green = more than 50% completion, square size is proportional with passing volume.

It mostly just confirms what anyone who watches regularly will know, that we rarely attack through the middle, and that we struggle to create chances when we have possession (usually out wide) in the opposing third.

You can check the source to see some other teams for comparison:

Not the teams that have more goals scored?

Baines and Coleman are brilliant, but this does show we need that creative player in the middle.

And that we need more people in the box to get in the end of passes/crosses from the flank possibly? The pass completion from wide areas seems quite poor, particularly as we hardly ever play it through the middle. Basically we keep possession well and then waste it most of the time in the final third due to these problems identified above. Nothing surprising, still it is interesting to see how that image can sum us up so well.

Don't the RS just give it to Gerrard to lob into the box from wherever he happens to be? Plus an extraordinary number of shots from the penalty mark.

It's an interesting one. With our full backs being quite so attacking, our wide midfield players often cut inside. You'd think therefore that between Pienaar, Barkley and Mirallas, we'd have a bit of creativity there, but it doesn't seem to be working out.

Something that does appear noticeable is that Mirallas and Barkley shoot whenever possible. It's rare for either to play someone else in. Obviously this has led to some superb long-range goals this season, but we haven't opened up many teams with slick passing.

It just emphasises for me that Barkley is a long way from the finished article. Hopefully he realises that and keeps improving.
