He's gone from being ok, to iffy, to an obnoxious [Poor language removed] in the space of less than one season.

Sometimes I think the media publishes this sort of comment with that hidden innuendo just to piss us all off or something.

I'm sorry but its gonna be tough for me to take Owen Coyle seriously, given that Moyes has been the manager of Everton longer than Coyle has been managing in his career (which, at last check, is at 4 teams since 2003). I mean, it compliments Moyes, which is without a doubt well-deserved, but what an insult to this club.

Unsurprising comment from the manager of the ultimate 'sky club' supported by 'sky fans'. Bolton as a club live for nothing other than the sky dream of staying in 'the big time.' Don't have any aspirations to do anything in the 'big time' other than make up the numbers. The last couple of years of being in the Premiership has just enlarged their false grandeur which all came to the for with the sacking of Megson.

A club that some how has Gardside as an FA board member exercising great influence wtf. They play infront of a half empty ground that has a capacity of 28 000. They only had 21000 against us at home and at least 4000 of them were Evertonians. Seriously If they dropped into the championship they wouldn't be in the top half in terms of size and stature.

I would rather travel 3 hours to Newcastle or an hour and a half to Leeds to watch Everton were you at least get the experience of seeing Everton in front of a sell out crowd with a real as apposed to a falsely generated atmosphere. You go to the reebock and they play songs when they score and bang a f$cking drum all match.

Who was it who said 'those who dont understand dont matter?' considering the mighty Bolton is the biggest club Coyle ever played for I really would never expect him to understand.

"Everton are fortunate to have him because there are some big clubs out there and he is capable of being a world force"
Owen Coyle on David Moyes

Sky Sports | Football | Premier League | News | Coyle lauds 'top-class' Moyes

Is Coyle trying to compare Bolton to Everton in terms of size of fanbase?

Or is he just making a subtle dig or what?

Because Everton are a big club. Ask our American friends on here b)

Bolton or Everton? You decide!

Ridiculous. You're just looking for something to be upset about there.

I mean any argument of "big clubs" is pretty stupid in any way shape or form really but its blatantly obvious that Coyle was complimenting Moyes and saying that Europes elite, you know clubs like Man U, Barcelona, AC Milan etc etc could do worse than have a manager like Moyes.

Its actually hilarious to think that he left Burnley for this Bolton team in the middle of the season. I mean, sure he gets to stay up for another season, but for how much longer will that last?

I agree.
Coyle said absolutely nothing offensive in my mind, and I wonder if some of the posters who retaliated actually read the article.
By big club, he means BIG CLUB and as much as we like to pat our own backs, there are much bigger jobs in the world of football than us. Our history only takes us so far.

Coyle/ frankie boyle left a bigger club to go to Bolton, Burnley are far bigger than them. we'll have the chance to shove it all up his arse tomorrow, Johnny is gonna score, run over to their dugout, ram a forearm up his deep-fried food chute, raise him high and spin him like a basketball.

Would Coyle have said that about a manager of Celtic? That they can get a bigger club? Doubt it. He needs to look at his record books. He'll see that we're the 4th most successful club in English history. Actually, Moyes knows that. He knows how fortunate he is to be Everton manger. Maybe Coyle should just look after his own club...the one he's with for the next five minutes or so before he fcuks off again.

Great response. Need not say more. Fact is Moyes has turned a 30 something side, and a club going nowhere to a club who's supporters are now disappointed when we beat Chelsea and Man Utd in the space of a couple of weeks yet lose due to a lack of consistency twice in probably the hardest February of any Premier League club.

How times have changed for the better at Goodison.

We may have been whipping boys 8 years ago. We arn't any more. Thats the point.

And Everton are a big club. Certainly bigger than Owen Coyle's got a right to be speaking about like that.

Our youth system and training facilities speak for themselves. And we've got the fan base to support a stadium twice the size of Bolton's.

That says it all.
