Everton and Smart TV's

I think it'd be a great idea for Everton for tie themselves in with a manufacturer like LG to have a smart TV app created of their mobile/web app. LG could use our app as standard and open it up to a huge audience. Advertising opportunities could be opened in other parts of the world, by using different frameworks and app releases to include regional advertising space. Surely companies would pay handsomely for exposure such as this, and thing such as player interviews, club news could be easliy spread. I also wouldn't see why they would have to get any extra broadcast agreements out, as they would effectively be controlling/distributing the images and information in the same way they do now with their mobile site.

I am really surprised the the likes of Chelsea have not already moved into this area with their Samsung links.

*yawns and leaves

We don't do that here. Don't be so damn obnoxious or find another forum.

It's actually a really good point pal, the Club have made some good improvements recently with screen media.

It's a good thought tbh, but i think the technology is a little too small in terms of market share for it to be viable at the moment.

I wouldn't at all be surprised to see an Everton 'app' found on TV screens in the not too distant future though, you're just a bit ahead of the game (y)

Hopefully a 3D TV app too - imagine Changy the Elephant coming into your living room through the tv set?

I think I'd need dark kecks if that ever happened.

Interesting idea...

I'm just wondering if the cost of developing the app would be cost-prohibitive. Is it as relative simple as developing say a standard mobile/iPad app? Everton have a very localised fan base so that may be a prohibitive factor too.

It's a great shout though.

Ahh missed this. I agree with Brennan.

It's very, very forward thinking.

I believe they are bringing out a new iPad app very shortly indeed. I imagine they could transfer this to a smart TV, good idea mate.

Me..... unloading into your living room........ through the TV set ? Unusual concept sir, but for a fellow Blue I can quote a cost of £25 per load with a maximum of three repeats per hour.

Sorry mate, this seems like far too much common sense and a good idea, let them crack on with 3 tickets for £90 and continually linking to the S*n on the ' what the papers say', in terms of marketing, they are light years ahead...
