Ok, let's attempt to look at this in a non-knee jerk sort of way - lately we've been on the rough side of some poor decisions.

Tonight's goal(s), John Terry's equaliser, both are fresh in the mind. Obviously there's a history too - Clive Thomas (LC semi at City's ground), Clattenburg, Rodwell's derby sending off, Graham Poll's derby, there's probably more that I could list too.

Are we unusually hard done by or do we just notice it more because we look for it? Is the reason football has no video technology down to the fact that any potential favouritism would have to be faced?

Personally I think we're cheated and the referrees/officials need a massive shake up.

(Whatever the reason, Everton, if you're reading this, just lodge a complaint, a stewards inquiry, anything, JUST KICK UP A PUBLIC STINK AND STAND UP FOR THE CLUB).

No luck we looked deflated as soon as their forst fluky deflected goal went in - we have conced 3 deflected goals in the last 3 games- Uncanny or what?
The rerfs always favour the top teams and that lot over the park!

We don't put the officials under any pressure. Look at the money clubs, they hound them and it works. After the 2nd goal tonight we should have surrounded the linesman, every player should have been at the ref or linesman. Then when the 3rd goal tonight went in maybe the linesman flags it offside as the first error is fresh in his mind.

We are simply too nice and have to be more ruthless. We don't have anyone in the team who speaks up. It is frustrating to look at.

Respect has to be a 2 way street. Officials know they can do us time and time again.

City should have had a penalty the other week tbf

But yes we do generally seem to be cursed with bad refereeing

They got one last season which they should never have got.

Ditto the season before that.......in the same match Rom was flattened in thier penalty box, no one no given.

I would say they are quids in with us re dodgy decisions.

Collina at Villareal.

We're way too nice. Even Silva and Aguero were swearing at the linesmen and waving imaginary cards every time someone got tackled. The ball for De Bruynes goal was a yard out and not a freaking murmur from anyone.
Get Besic back in ASAP, give him the band and let's start kicking some arse.
We need a nastier spine than we have.

We've definitely been on the end of terrible decisions. I wouldn't say we've been on the end of more than other teams over the past few seasons though- just that the whole standard of refereeing is poor these days. Coupled with the fact bad calls get highlighted a hell of a lot more alongside extra TV coverage.

Not denying we've had some historically terrible decisions against us though. But in recent history, nothing vindictive. Collina, Clattenburg and Thomas aside.
