I have watched with increasing dismay, the criticism being lumped on Jagielka and Baines by the national media. Even to some extent, Barkley. I just hope that it does not affect their performances for Everton next season. Roberto will have to use all of his man management skills to raise their spirits.
I also feel that the rather simplistic media has jumped on the bandwagon of criticising the defence, when in my mind, England's attack was pretty ineffective and just as culpable.
I have a feeling that Baines will be the most fragile and sensitive to the criticism.
I hope I am wrong and the curse of England / Everton does not strike.
