ridder lykke

Player Valuation: £100k
This could become some challenge for the Everton side if we keep signing african players.
We will be missing Yobo, Yakubu, Anichebe and Obinna to the Nigerian team, and if we get to sign him, M'Bia as well.
Furthermore we have Castillo and Cahill playing on different occasions from UEFA.
January-February looks awful for us.

No African nations this year.

Pienaar's South Africa won't be going next year which is a bonus, the two Vic's might not make the full Nigeria team.

Big Ste probably won't join sadly.:(

obinna will be irrelevant in terms of going to ACN as he's only here for a year, theres no chance he will extend his stay when he can return to potential league and european champions.

In the next 18 months we obviously need a bigger squad to cope with such events but it is not an immediate issue...however knowing everton, this issue will probably be addressed january 31st 2010 just before the ACN gets underway again

Come on, we've got much more urgent problems than this. There are 3 transfer windows before the next Nations Cup, and there's no certainty which teams will qualify or which players will be selected.

I think what is meant is the qualifiers that are going on between now and the end of the season. Had a quick look on the FIFA, CAF, NFA & USA websites and could only get the last 2 stage 2 WC/ANC games for Nigeria and next couple of months for USA all games fall on FIFA weekends.

Couldn't find any dates for CAF stage 3, Nigeria have already qualified, but all other confederations are having theirs in June '09 so would be safe to assume they'll do the same (now that I've said it though).

As for Cahill will probably be off on international duty for:
18/10/08 away v Arsenal
16/11/08 home v Middelsborough
14-28/01/09 possible to miss away v RS, Carling Cup SF2, FA Cup Rd 4
14/02/08 FA Cup rd 5

Castillo between now and end of May only 1 conflict I could see:
18/10/08 away v Arsenal
