This Liverpool Senior Cup Final has started a massive debate in our pub. The kopites are in denial as it was St.Johns debut and he scored a hat-trick. Because of this they all forget the final score, believing it to be a draw.
It finished 4-3 to us but I cant find any records of it anywhere as regards our scorers.
Can anyone help out? Who were our goalscorers and is there written proof anywhere?
There's confirmation of the score on a couple of St.John articles but nothing about us.

A sign of what was to come came on his debut in a Liverpool Senior Cup tie against top-flight neighbours Everton at Goodison Park.

The fact the Reds lost 4-3 was of minor significance to the Liverpudlians in the crowd, for they left knowing they'd witnessed the birth of a legend. St John scored three times and deservedly earned rave reviews for his all-round performance.

If only they knew their history.

Ian made his debut in a red shirt against Merseyside rivals Everton in the Liverpool Senior Cup Final. Although Liverpool lost 4-3, he announced his arrival in spectacular style by scoring all 3 of his side's goals. That first game served the most emphatic of notices of the new boy's talent for goals, returning totals of 18, 19 and 21 goals in his first three seasons.

Thanks to everyone for the replies but I still dont know who scored our goals! I know we won, however much them kopites want to change history. But in all the Everton books I've got and on all the Everton websites, there is absolutely no record of the game!
