Well I went to JJB today to try and be relieved of £40 for the shirt, but was told it is only available online or at the official shops. Bollocks.

Expected considering JJB aren't our retailers any more, and Kit Bag are only online.

I know, but presumably Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, Spurs etc. etc. don't have deals with JJB either and they had all their shirts. So there is no way I can get a shirt without paying £5 postage or going to Liverpool. Might not bother.

Aye, probably so.

The other one that get's me is...Sports Direct in town. Man United shirts, Arsenal, Chelsea, Argentina, Italy, Brazil, Australia..no Everton. Oh and Liverpool of course.

Why are we the only one's who can only sell our kits in our distributors?

they were selling ours cheaper than jjb (which was next door) last season before the prices plumetted, a good £15 cheaper too. they have to allow them to sell them due to being a free market or something, it was jjb that i struggled to find our stuff in last season.

I went down today cause it said on the web site degsy, sharpy, sheeds and jags all there. got there at 10 not a bleedin sign of them....queued for an hour to get in paid £86 for the lads kit £30 for little girls kit then had to take the thing over to the marque in the park end to get the number printed on it waited in there for over 1 1/2 hours total madness. didnt expect nothing else though....if its farcical organisation of an event Everton are the company to get in cause its almost gauranteed mayhem....that said the kit looks sound. the kids were stopped about 5 or 6 times either walkin down are road or in the Asda they were made up...COYB

Wouldn't be this excited about a store opening that I had to queue outside from 5 AM... unless they had some extra special gifts for the first one in.

They did, 10,000 free season tickets where given away. It's the only way we could fill Goodison for every game. And some fans want us to move to a bigger stadium outside the boundaries.

Some excellent stuff here, I just got the top & shorts (never to be worn together) & a car air freshner for now but there are a few coat/jackets that I'll buy when I can decide which colour/design to get

OK, OK, good to know there are things that you like, what about the makeover what was it like? I remember when I purchased something the queues were actually quite fast - any difference that strikes you?

Anyone ever buy old Everton shirts on sale?

I'm tempted to go buy the old '07-'08 away shirt (white with the green Chang) for cheap.

It was absolutely rammed because it was opening day so it'd be wrong to judge the queues but they had loads of tills on & individual queues rather than 1 big 1 like they used to have. It just looked a lot smarter & there was some nice parts of the collection on show which will be constantly updated so that there's always something different to look at. Whether half of it was the novelty factor because it's new is anyones guess, but it looked good & felt nice & fresh. There was some really nice new items, I could have spent a fortune in there if someone else was paying & been delighted with every item.

There also seemed to be more smaller items that I've always thought we should be selling, there's no limit to the amount of things people will buy if you stick an Everton badge on it & I've felt we've been missing out on potential income for years. Things such as squeaky ducks, gnomes & tape measures for example, I bought my mates a duck & they were made up with it & 1 of them would have bought her nan a gnome if she hadn't unfortunately passed away not long ago. They're gimmicky but people will buy them because they're Everton stuff & will increase our profits, which is what it's all about.
