No. In the League Cup.
This weekend will tell a tale.It is infuriating trying to wrestle some of the doomsayers back into reality without sounding like we are glossing too much, but I for one am delighted with the work we have done since May.
The way we played football yesterday was especially pleasing. Scored some proper, modern football goals - possession side to side, work the overloads. Exciting times!
Definitely need a few extra in defensive positions, but I'm confident we can do that
He looks horrifically short of form. He hasn’t been that bad the last couple of seasons.Seeing how poor McNeil was last night compared to our new signings made me realise how bad we’ve had it for the last few years. Let’s hope we’ve turned a corner now and we can enjoy some decent football in our stunning new stadium.
Would mean more if you write to the economist and see if they'll take him back on as their sports correspondent.Barry Horne has just broadcast live on the radio that BMD is officially the loudest stadium in the country, so he read earlier today.
@chicoazul
I might write to big ears and see if you could be in contention for an obe.
He`s very hard to watch when he is having a bit of a bad game. He`s so left footed it seems very easy for defenders to hold him up, just keep him covered on his left side and he`ll not do any damage. Grealish is making himself available for a return pass as soon as the ball leaves his foot and is busting his guts when he gives the ball away to get it back. McNeill seems to take a moment to switch off when he makes a pass and doesn`t seem too bothered when he gives the ball away, and seems to make very hard work of chasing back. He was the one player that didn`t impress me last night.Seeing how poor McNeil was last night compared to our new signings made me realise how bad we’ve had it for the last few years. Respect to Mansfield. They defended well, kept their shape, competed all over the pitch. Traveled well - the away end seemed full, and in good voice?It was like watching Arsenal back in the day under Wenger when they would just cruise to countless 2-0 home wins controlling the tempo and pace of the game. Yes, it was against League One opposition but maybe, just maybe, we are entering an era of actually having a good footballing side, especially at home!
He won’t be one of our best XI again unless there are multiple long term injuries. I love McNeil but he’s just too one-footed.He`s very hard to watch when he is having a bit of a bad game.
