Everton 0-3 Bournemouth. Sat July 26th. 9 Pm.

I dont think the penny is dropping with a lot of people and its bury head in sand time. We couldnt even handle two centre halves missing yest, we're shifting players around and having to play a formation unknown because we couldnt cope.
Who trusts this club to bring in 5 or 6 players in the next two weeks.
You're right. We are a few hamstrings/pulled muscles away from not being able to compete. These ridiculous posts about dont panic lol. Its not panic. Its realisation that we're giving ourselves very little chance right now.

We can only be factual. As it stands, we have no hope. We don't know what is going to happen between now and August 18th. We can only assess our squad on what we currently have.

He's really not Dave. Neither of them are good enough and both need shipping out.
I've seen promise in the few times I've seen Dixon.

Patterson is outrageously 💩 and for him to be still here and handed chances by this manager is a travesty. I understand of course that he's going nowhere quick because no one is interested in taking him off our hands, but just leave him on the bench or back at home FFS. He's a catastrophe on the pitch.

Did Gueye play at the back?.

No, CM.

The back 5, if you want to call it (it was more 3-4-3 when we were playing well) was McNeil, Mykolenko, O'Brien, Patterson, Garner.

There were patterns of play in the first half, when we had the ball we did well. The second half was entirely crap, with a mix of us being tired, them subbing their whole team out while we could only manage a few subs, and Iraola figuring out we only had one recognized CB out there.

Despite all of that, two of the three goals were school-boy mistakes that had nothing to do with the formation.

I thought we looked pretty good in the 1st half, good movement, nice interplay. 2nd half though we were dreadful and gifted them 2 goals. As for Patterson, not good enough. We have needed a right back for about 5 seasons now. I love Seamus but he should have stepped away 5 years ago.

I was at the match yesterday and was so proud of our supporters. Got to meet so many people. Despite the size of the stadium, there was a massive contingent behind goal and the players heard us. We broke out into song a number of times. Hearing Z Cars was awesome. I wasn’t sure if that would happen.

A couple of observations:
- Idrissa looked great as usual.
- First half was solid and that’s despite not having Branners and Tarks on the pitch
- The last two goals were embarrassing but easily corrected
- Clearly we need transfers for depth
- Barry was a standout in limited play. Has pace. Constantly moving and looking for opportunities. Disruptive. I kind of saw some potential link ups with him and Youssef in the future
- Ndiaye was magic at times. Even the opposing fans were acknowledging it
