As we ponder another early cup exit to mirror our mickey mouse cup embarrassment and our current league form all of those who thought it possible must now realise that a club of our size in financial clout cannot fight a war on four fronts.

All clubs that manage to break into the top four or get a europa spot always seem to struggle and end out with nothing, and in the same season see other clubs emulating what they achieved the season before.

Be it the spuds in previous years or ourselves this season, without a large squad and a little luck on the injury front it is not possible to compete on all fronts This season will probably see spuds and Southampton in what alot would expect to be our position whilst we languish licking our wounds.

If we had brought in more players would that of helped god only knows, but what is abundantly clear is that when you have an ageing squad such as ours the older players cannot keep playing week in and week out.

We will probably have a below average season that will see our stock lessen whilst others will qualify for europe, how they do next season will probably be decided on whether to copy the everton model of arrogantly thinking what you have is enough or knock on your chairmans door and hope he/she is able to support you in strengthening.

Still, here's to last season, what a joy but back to normal...........

We played 5 Europa league games with the usual squad. Counterbalanced by our early exit from the league cup. To use it as an excuse is nonsense IMO.

Given our early cup exits we'll probably still end playing fewer games over the course of the season than many other teams. Yes we played 6 in the EL but only 5 of these were competitive and only one of them saw the players staying overnight for the away leg. We also of course entered the League Cup late because of our EL involvement. Too taxing then? Don't think so. The fact is our poor results are down to us just being an average side with a struggling manager. Fortunately for the manager, we're still in the EL to cover our deficiencies over.

We are in Europa League cause we were boss. We're still innit cause we won our table.
We'll play YB from Switzerland and we have every chance to make this journey Wonderful.
So please Evertonian, dont roll over just yet, eventhough it has been tough season.
I want to believe

I disagree with most of this post and that's saying something because it doesn't actually make any real worthwhile points.

Is it bleach time?
