Premier League - Was this the goal of the season?
OUR TOP 10:
Wayne Rooney - Manchester United v Manchester City - 12 February 2011. The England striker's feat of skill, timing and athleticism was made more incredible by the fact that it decided the Manchester derby late on. The goal that inspired United to the title.
Gareth Bale - Tottenham Hotspur at Stoke City - 21 August 2010. If the Harlem Globetrotters played football, this is the sort of goal they'd score: a lobbed pass that appeared to be asking too much until the Welshman provided an absurdly good finish at full stretch.
Samir Nasri - Arsenal v Fulham - 4 December 2010. The Frenchman appeared to have wasted a sublime team move and some incredible dribbling by taking the ball a step too far - but he saved it all with a finish that will live long in the memory.
Carlos Tevez - Manchester City v Wolverhampton Wanderers - 15 January 2011. Miraculous dribbling from the Argentine that recalls the best efforts of his compatriot Diego Maradona.
Mark Davies - Bolton Wanderers v Blackpool - 27 November 2010. The undisputed team goal of the season was a piece of footballing genius that the 1970 Brazilian World Cup-winning team would have been proud of.
Dimitar Berbatov - Manchester United v Liverpool - 19 September 2010. The Bulgarian's thigh control and overheard finish was the sort of trick that is rare on the training ground, let alone in heated clashes such as the Red Devils v Reds fixture.
Raul Meireles - Liverpool at Wolverhampton Wanderers - 22 January 2011. Incredible balance, concentration and awareness followed by a genuinely inch-perfect volley to create a goal out of absolutely nothing.
Alex - Chelsea v Arsenal - 3 October 2010. Without doubt the free-kick of the season. The only question surrounding this thunderbolt is how it didn't break the goal.
Scott Parker - West Ham United v Liverpool - 27 February 2011. This goal had it all: brilliant dribbling, one-touch passing and a ridiculously deft finish to beat one of the best goalkeepers in the country.
Simon Cox - West Bromwich Albion at Tottenham Hotspur - 23 April 2011. As good a long-range rocket as you'll ever see; the West Brom star was substituted on and curled a perfect shot into the top corner.
