European Super League will be a reality in five years

Hilarious how PSG and Monaco are now France's big clubs! History means nothing... Lyon and Marseilles are both MUCH bigger clubs.. Lyon had a 8 year championship winning streak! Yet to most they wouldn't crack this super-league...
Monaco doesn't even have enough fans to fill their 18,000 capacity stadium! Truly a super league..

I'd check your own history mate; Lyon didn't win there first title till 2000. Monaco have always been a big club and are one of the most successful clubs in France; and you have to remember they are a principality of France

LEt them get on with it, just ban any manager, player, coach or fan who has anything to do with it from returning to thedomestic leagues, and when they come back with their tail between their legs we can make them start in the unibond.

That'll learn'em. (y)

Would there even be more money in it? PResumably they wouldn't have a silly closed shop Cup competition so that really only leaves the league, would there be more money in that league than the combined fees of the current leagues? How would Barcelona and Madrid feel to receive the same as everyone else and not 100 times more or whatever it is.

They could maybe introduce play offs to get more money but personally speaking I wouldn't watch a single second of it, and i expect I wouldn't be alone.

If Liverpool are included they could finish pointless which would be amusing I guess.

I hope it happens, hope it dies on its arse and they all come back begging forgiveness and start life off back in League Two.

I don't think that would be the case, we'd be in such a bad situation financially, if in existence at all, we'll be begging them to come back and save us

and recently got to a champions league final

Truly terrible idea and as others have said, it'd see me lose interest in the game. All the best players in the world playing for 20 teams, there'll never be two or three top players at each club anymore. Shocking idea.

I'm just so bitter about Monaco and always have been, even prior to their new takeover.
As if not having to pay taxes isn't enough of an advantage.
They've never played on an even playing field, so as far as I'm concerned they're underachievers and not a big club :) LALALALLAA NOT LISTENING TO WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY

It might go something like this:

This new league would have limited or virtually no new entrants into the market it would, as a closed shop, have been voted out by all the major leagues in the first place. Imagine how uninteresting the PL would be - on a global perspective - if you take away the biggest achievers from that league (let's say 8 teams) - there is no way either the PL or those teams left out of the super-duper Euro-cash bucket would stand for that, nor the loss of home fixtures against the likes of United.

And, if there were greater than one league (for the likes of ourselves) we'd struggle to finish in the top half of any initial season and consequently we'd be down amongst the rest - which would get virtually no exposure and this would soon fade away to a one division league.. with further resentment from those outside the big group.
