Europe League: Its about respecting the competition you fought hard to get into

Love that teams turn up their nose at the possibility of winning some silverware. I want to win some trophies. I don't care if its the FA Cup or Europa League. Don't understand supporters who rather just get beat and go home.

UEFA should get some balls.. I actually preferred old style when we were playing in Europe and winning. Don't care what anyone says it was harder then. You couldn't take a chance and rotate teams in case you did get knocked out by some unpredictable part timers from the Faroe Is.

League system and allowing 4 teams to qualify to the championship killed the UEFA cup and European Cup winner Cup. Also had a negative affect in our domestic league were the FA cup and League Cup now means nothing to some of the big clubs - coming 4th means more. Shame because FA cup day on a Saturday in May regardless of who was playing was a big event. I remember Walking home one afternoon and you could see the houses livingroom were all the family was glued to the TV watching the FA cup.

Easy to change things only allow 1/2 teams to qualify from each country for champions league and 2 for UEFA. Only have one group round have more of a knock out style tournament were if you loose you are out. Now if a team looses they can still win, some are even happy with a draw. Make it so that you have to win every game.

Bring back the cup winners cup. Less places in the champions league would make the UEFA cup relevant again as would the FA and League cup if it meant one of the few chances of getting in to Europe and playing the big teams was to win a cup.

But none of this will happen because people would worry that the big teams of Barcelona and United may get knocked out early costing the tournament money.

It's a shame because I think when we played in Europe all of those years ago with the likes of Nottingham Forest it was more exciting.
