All four English clubs (including second tier birmingham) made the group stages as did Shamrock Rovers from Ireland who beat Partizan Belgrade in possibly the shock of the round.

None of the scots made it through. Something needs to be done about scottish football, it's just dying. Twenty, thirty years ago the best scots teams were a match for the best of any league and now they're league one level. Another victim of sky football and it's just not good for the game.

Aye crap standard and most wee lads coming through aspire to play for an English team if they're any good.

Shamrock Rovers will grace Group A, featuring Rubin Kazan, PAOK and Spurs! Pity Robbie Keane has left White Hart Lane, he could have played against his hometown club, which may well be one of the few he didn't support as a lad.

Not a bad group for Shamrock that, in terms of TV money and glamour.

Here's their away crew at Fenerbache, there'll be no 'arl arses in this lot. Some of the views in that stadium put the back of the pillars in Goodison into the unobstructed category, getting to the europa final and getting a view like that would be gutting, I always thought it looked a great ground as well.

it seems they have a r/s song, the tune they are using signifies that it will to their detriment.
