Apols if already posted somewhere - but if Spurs/Chelsea win Europa league and qualify for CL - does another place goto the league - as the winners get a place, or would it goto runners up?
 

Think it depends on how Chesterfield do in League 2.

If they finish 7th and Newport County come up then it's on.

But only if Besiktas win the Turkish Cup.

Something like that.
 
Good game Carl, got to be honest I wasn't too keen when I seen you went Spurs and I was Chelsea as I thought it would be really tight. Maybe you just had a bad night but thought my football was really good in parts there especially as it was a gamble with the three up front. The overhead kick from the centre circle was boss, I've saved that in my favourite goals.

I'm online later if you fancy a rematch mate.

I really enjoyed it mate - you played really well. - I was surprised when you insisted we play on mega drive - I didnt even know we could play online. - you are the guru!!!!
 
at the moment, top 5 is europe. simple as.

If the FA Cup is contested between two teams in teh top 5, 6th is europe.
 
My guess is yes and when we win the FA cup, liverpool will also get in the Europa.
 
I thought there have been times when the top seven got in to some sort of Europe competition.

Yes, we always send 7 teams into the two European competitions.

But already this year Swansea have one of them. So it's top 6, or top 5 and the FA Cup winners, if they need a place due to where they are in the league.
 
Isn't there something about if a team loses the final and is already in Europe then the loser of the final takes the place?

League cup winners
5th place in league
Fa cup winners.

If league cup winners already qualify through league the 6th spot gets there place.
If fa cup winners already qualify through league then runners up get the spot. If they have already qualified through league 6th/7th spot get the place.

That's the basics. English team winning CL throws spanner in the works. Not sure about if English team win Europe league.

Oh and then there is the fair play which can sometimes offer another place. England is winning at the mo i think, can't remember which team it is though leading our league. Could be fulham
