I don't see why. Atletico have been slightly more consistant in the league but there far from obviously superior.
Unless you mean physically. They might have a bit more in reserve as their squad is a bit bigger and they didn't go far in the Spanish Cup.

I think they have the more big game players whilst Athletic have younger, perhaps hungrier players.

I think on the big stage Atletico may have enough to bully the game and edge it that way. I would much prefer an Athletic win as there is a lot to admire about that club, but my head is saying otherwise.

I think Athletic need an absolute blinder from Llorente.

This. It got me wondering how well a team of only scousers or people from Merseyside would do with proper coaches training etc, i've played with some quality young players when i was playing for my youth teams one of which is on the dole now and quite frankly is the most naturally gifted player i've ever seen.
