Couldn't find a similar thread to this and it didn't warrant a place in the Everton thread but I was just curious on what people's current thoughts are on the squad/starting XI should be for the tournament? I think we only have 4 maybe 5 friendlies left before the first group game and Roy seems to still be unsure on a number of positions and players with his one-cap frenzy continuing into 2016. So... ignoring current form and obvious injuries (say Shaw who might not be ready); who would be your starting XI and what formation would you play?

Personally I am sick and tired of seeing us head into tournaments with far too many players there on reputation alone; I'm also a big advocate of blooding youngsters even in tournaments because I think it's the only way we'll progress. I haven't really decided how I'd like to see England line up but some players I would like to see are Hart in goal, Stones partnering Smalling, Alli partnering Dier and Barkley (last night was a good show for me if they keep progressing, we're a bit thin in the middle otherwise) and Kane up front > Rooney. I'm not sold whatsoever on players like Sterling or Rooney starting.

Similar to what played last night but Baines, Smalling, Henderson/Wilshere and Milner in, Dier, Cahill, Alli, & Gibbs out.

Hart
Baines
Jagielka/Smalling
Stones
Walker

Wilshere
Shelvey
Barkley

Chamberlain
Rooney (just)
Sterling

is what i'd pick, be arsed with aload milners and delphs
