Just a note for our American GOT'ers.

ESPN's 30 for 30 series is doing a piece on Hillsborough on Tuesday night, April 15, at 8pm EDT on ESPN.

If you've ever watched anything that's been under the 30 for 30 banner, I'm guessing this piece will be very well done.

They do a really good job on these overall. The Two Escobars one was riveting.

We get these over here too on the UK version of ESPN.Seen quite a few of them and they are without doubt top class sports documentaries. The one about Steve Bartman (Catching Hell was it?) was excellent.

Gordon the director on Keith Olbermann last night said you can't watch it in the UK due to the inquest. Will try to profide links if I find them.

Shame that.

The only concern I had about it as I watched was 'would the average American fella understand?' Not the situation, but more the accents. I almost feel like subtitles would have been apropos for our audience here.

Just finished it.

In a word (and as said earlier): Riveting.

1/2 of it about the actual tragedy itself and then the other 1/2 about the pursuit of justice for the families. Several families interviewed. Main guy was the author of "Hillsborough, The Truth." Scraton was his name. Interviewed several of the police who helped on the pitch that day and also, one of the police whose statement was altered.

I had my wife and older son watch it with me.

If you had never heard of the Hillsborough tragedy before and watched this, I'd say that you'd have a very, very good grasp of what happened and how the pursuit of justice for the 96 and their families continues to this day.

Catching Hell was very well done as was The Two Escobars.

A lot of my friends who aren't even into soccer watched it and were deeply moved by it. They did a fantastic job reaching out to an uneducated audience in the States.
