Always have a soft spot for ECSLA. I think it was around 81 and we played City away, I took a bit of a hiding around the Arndale and was just picking myself up in readiness for more if the same. Next thing a taxi pulled up and two lads jumped out and got me into the taxi. They then got me in the supporters club so I could get my face cleaned, also had a pint waiting for me.
Long time ago but never forgot it

Does ESCLA get priority tickets? might be worth joining as I had real problems getting tickets last season and I understand it's going to be even worse this coming season.

The AGM is upon us again. Pat Nevin will be the man in the seat entertaining us with some stories. EFC have sent us some signed gear for our FREE raffle and there is a buffet.

We have much to talk about , with trips to the continent for the Europa League a must for most of our members. Please come along and rejoin, chat with us ,meet the wonderful Pat Nevin and have a drink with your fellow blues down here in the smoke.

I look forward to seeing you all at the AGM, The only pub in London that contains no artificial colorings or sweeteners..Just pure Blue and pure Bitter.

Best wishes

Rob

Is there any more info on this?

Would be keen to attend and meet some other Blues in the area!

Some other names from that era I am sure you might know.

Paddy McGrath, Brian Conneely, Nick Brennan, Gary the singer (always with Patsy), Mad Alec, Larry and Stephen from Belfast, Growler, Cockney John, Paddy McWilliams, The Reverend.

Lots of others, I can still see their faces, in fact I still bump into some of them at Goodison now and again, but cannot remember their names.

I had some good times with those lads up and down the length of this country in the 80s and 90s :)

Great stuff. Nick Brennan is my Dad's cousin. He'll be at the AGM, might go along with my old man.
