Equity release

It's easy - a simple remortgage will allow you to release equity... BUT think long and hard about why you want to. There are good reasons to do so (put the money to work earning a better return elsewhere) and bad reasons (consumption).

Anybody know anything about this ? Is it difficult to do ? Is it a lengthy process or can it be done fairly simply ? Been considering freeing up some of the equity in my house and trying to find out as much as I can before chatting to the building society as I’m sure they’ll try loads of tricks to tie me up to stupid agreements.

1. I don’t know how much for the pair
2. I’m not sure sawdust would help
3. Switching it on and off isn’t an option
4. It has nothing to do with yer mar
Kinda answered your own question there @Kurt, I would be more inclined to seek out options for remortgaging, I'm pretty sure that would be more viable.
