I see City are playing Stoke on Wednesday evening.
At the same time as Barcelona play PSG and Borussia Dortmund verse Benfica in the CL.
Real Madrid played a league game the other week but we thought that was permissible because it was an early kick off and was over before the CL games started.
But the City game kicks off almost simultaneously to the European matches, starting fifteen minutes later.
So has the UEFA edict (daft to begin with IMO) which prohibits top flight games in the major footballing nations taking place on European nights been abandoned?
I remember it gave United a big headache last season when they were trying to juggle the West Ham quarter final replay and postponed league games but were barred from using one midweek date due to this ruling.
