Epic putdown on todays' culture from Alan Moore

I'm still to see an "epic" put down from anyone but Artetafan.

His last major work for instance is a porn comic staring the female leads of wizard of oz, alice in wonderland and peter pan having lots of sex with each other. Which you know even if I hadn't grown out of needing pictures in my books at 8, I still wouldn't exactly view as 'relevant and sufficient to its times'.

I just wiki'd this, and it indeed does seem to be in very bad taste. In my opinion it shouldn't even be considered erotic fiction, or "benign porn" as Alan Moore would have it. If the "erotic tales" were all consensual, then I could at least understand the appeal, but also here there seems to be a lot of rape to it.


I can understand now why you don't like the bloke.


Going from that, I'd have to disagree with Moore's defence of his rape scenes. His rather more accidental point of there not being enough graphic (consensual) sex scenes in comparison with graphic violence still stands.
