Problem son?

No blud leave it fam.

All my family are scousers and all support the national team.

Some do some don't. I wouldn't over analyse it. There is a sectarian element in Liverpool where some of them don't feel a part of England, but it's not all of them and I hate it when out foreign fans on here get the wrong impression.

To sum up, some people don't care about the national side and lots of others do. It's really an argument that's been done to death. And as your original question jd, as you can see it's not just a southern thing and I wouldn't let der hardcore scouse not inglish types on here cloud your judgement. Not reflective of us as a whole. Let them carry on, it's their choice just as much as supporting the national team is everyone else's choice.

The Tabloids used to big them up in a very jingoistic way too. Always annoyed me that. I remember the tabloids obsessing about Beckham's metatarsal. I went to one game at the old Wembley, what I experienced was that most of the England fans around me had southern accents. Will watch them in the World Cup, but they always let you down, especially going through the agony of a penalty shoot out.

For me England are the rs of international football, over hyped, living in the past and still thinking they're one of footballs elite.

Where have you read or seen that England fans think that mate? I think it's quite the opposite now, we're almost too pessimistic when I think we have quite a lot to be excited about after 2014.

At the moment its pessimistic because they lost against Chile and Germany, but I think that will all change if England win a few friendlies. My post was more press related than fan though mate.

Yeah just curious. We're a pretty patriotic bunch over here, at least superficially for sure, so it always surprises me a little. Not trying to stir the pot or anything, just wanted everyone's views on it.
