Funny you should say that, In Majorca, if the bar is owned by a foreigner (i.e. English ex-pat), by law it has to be shut down well before the locals are.

Local licensing? Corrupt as it comes, pay the local guardia if you want extra hours.

In all fairness, no one really abides by them rules if they have a bar full of customers late at night.
