If working airside Yes, on a temp pass but they must be escorted at all times by a full passholder until that is sorted
Gerry wanted me to provide a 5 year work history when I started in the scran van

I told him he could phone Bob who I used to work on the windows with and that's the best I could do

that appeared to be sufficient for a contract of employment to be offered, I'm guessing airport security runs on a similar individual case basis

@SailorBlue the only thing I have against Heathrow security is having to go through that x ray body scanner. Especially because I keep getting patted down after I've been through one despite having absolutely nothing on me

Happens to me all the tiime. Some are programmed on random so the alarm goes off after so many people pass through whether you have anything on you or not.

@SailorBlue ,is it right the x ray machine passengers walk through is "turned down " in peak times ?.

I do happen to think it's over the top,a ryan air flight from Shannon into Liverpool is hardly going to be a target for terrorism, anymore than a car driving onto a ferry anywhere across Europe.

internal flights ,ie Snn-Dub,well,only the stupid would try and fly drugs across country,or think it a plan to try and blow up a plane when there's far easier ways to cause terror and not ending up dead yourself.

Sure, there's flights in and out of certain countries where you would expect high security, but well over the top for other low risk flights I would have thought.

Bit over the top borderline paraniod isnt it?
Seen six year olds wearing everton jersies getting a serious search cause the metal detector went off in john lennon recently. Fairly aggro them lads. Also seen them demand parents pull sleeping babies up from small buggies to check for whatever. all non dodgy looking passangers as well.Just as bad in stanstead. Is the new policy
everyone is a terrorist and a drug smuggler until you prove otherwise?

yeah that's probably it

safe guarding our freedom by restricting it... must be doing wonders for local unemployment in LA, can't move there for security

Just want to point out the 9/11 flights were all domestic flights.

One more incident is too many.
