Jones, Smalling, Wilshire shouldn't be in the squad 1st two are crap and the 3rd is the most over ratted player ever

Defenders: Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Phil Jagielka (England), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Phil Jones (Manchester United), Luke Shaw (Southampton), Chris Smalling (Manchester United).

Midfielders: Ross Barkley (Everton), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Adam Lallana (Southampton), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), James Milner (Manchester City), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Raheem Sterling (Liverpool), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal).

Standby: John Ruddy (Norwich City), Jon Flanagan (Liverpool), John Stones (Everton), Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Tom Cleverley (Manchester United), Andy Carroll (West Ham United), Jermain Defoe (Toronto FC).

Stones on stand by, can see him going. Would be great having 4 blues there. Well deserved and nice to get the recognition.

Just don't get injured lads or play so well you attract other clubs!

my team for italy
-------hart
johnson jags cahill baines
-----gerrard milner
--sterling----------ox
---------barkley
---------rooney

less attacking as obvs italy are gonna have loads of possesion..

Hart

Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines

Gerrard Henderson

Barkley

Sturridge Rooney Sterling

barry should have gone over wilshere - he is just [Poor language removed] in my opinion.

then u can have barry and gerrard as defensive mids and gerrard can get forward if he wants. henderson is just going to get pushed around in the middle

i agree with sturridge, barkley, sterling as advanced mids

and rooney up top

Mate as much as I think Stone should've gone in the place of either Smalling or Jones because their both crap, if either one can't go that mong Hodgson will take that mong Flanagan nailed on.

Behave lad..... Jones , whilst not spectacular , can cover 3 or 4 positions, I've never seen him have a bad game.

I did watch Wiltshire in an England shirt last year, can't recall the game, he was head and shoulders the best player on the park.

I'll give you chris smalling though lol

hodgson has confirmed stones will go if jones injured

i think its harsh to riticise hodson for this squad, hes gone for alot of youth..would have easy to have selected carrick and cole

Well in Ross, Stonesy over Phil Jones would be my preference, injuries aside I think Jones is a pretty ordinary player. Versatility seems to be the selling point, but Stones can play RB (just not against the dark side!).

We'll get to see how Sturridge has really developed without Cousteau by his side. Well I hope.

Gonna change the habit of over 30 yrs and get behind England after seeing this squad.

Stripped of most of the usual attention seeking nob'eads we may look shte but there's a workmanlike quality, players picked with something to prove a hunger previously lacking from the Utd/london club cabal.
Without show ponies like Beckham and Owen in maybe a grafters attitude will see us do better plus 3 of our boys are in.

C'mon England don't make me regret this.

I think Lampard and Gerrard have faded away at the tail end of this season. Barry hasn't looked that tired, maybe it was worth at least looking at him. Given the style Roy's playing, I'd rather have Wilshere starting over one of them, probably Lampard.
