If anyone missed the England vs Switzerland game and don't wanna wait till they're on ITV1 later I've just uploaded 3 minute highlights of it!

The only good bit was the 1.5 seconds in which Baines was chesting the ball towards Ashley Young.

If Henry cheating is an Irish failure, then by all means, you're spot on.

That said, I thought the way they handled it was poor. But I can't blame them for trying everything to get into the WC -- we're desperate to play in an international tournament. DESPERATE!

The failiure was not finishing top of your group, losing 1-0 at home in the first leg and then only scoring one goal in the second leg, forcing extra time rather than winning out right. You could just as easily blame all the sitters Doyle and Keane missed as the one bad decision against you.

Hell, even if the ref had blown on Henry, you wouldn't have won. You would have just got a penalty shoot out.

The witchhunt against Henry (who even now you label a cheat for handling the ball and then playing on, which Robbie keane did in the exact same match only Henry created a goal form it and Keane got caught and gave away a free kick) and the whole crying injustice thing was every bit as hysterical and over the top as the English press at its worse.

Chill out. I don't remember ever moaning about it on here.

I'm not stupid. It was one goal. But it was an unfair goal. It's not tantamount to us missing a chance, because it was an illegal bit of play by Henry. And had he been caught for it, then the game might have finished differently. We were robbed of a fair outcome, whatever said outcome might have been. It might well have been defeat, but we'll never know.

You don't understand how this works do you, mate?

As an irish fan, you're responsible and accountable for the worse excesses and hysteria of all your press, fans and football association, not just your own personal actions.

But seriously, I'm not trying to have a go at you. Just responding banter style to the joke about how england didn't win therefore it must be the refs fault. As if we always blame our defeats on the officials (which is sometimes true, I'll admit, but more often we go "the manager/team/country is awful, we're the worst in the world ever" and then cry a lot).

And I was just pointing out that your association asked for a damn replay when you got a bad call against you. You're in a glass house, that's all I'm saying.

I was just roleplaying the INGURLAND yob stereotype, mate. I wasn't talking about all England fans.

Just most of them.
