Sadly, we know it's almost a certainty it won't. The loony elements from both sides will be rubbing their hands at the prospect.
Alright, I'll go there. "both sides"? Most Irish fans are so called 'event junkies'. It's football one week, rugby the next and gaelic the next, they are a million miles from organized right wing faschist groups intent on trouble. I was in Lansdowne in 95 and there was no "both sides" there either. When's the last time Irelands looney element shamed their country, unless you count wearing a liverpool shirt to an Ireland game while waving an inflatable banana and singing ole ole ole, in which case it happens quite a lot.
I'd imagine when they unleashed westlife on an unsuspecting worldAlright, I'll go there. "both sides"? Most Irish fans are so called 'event junkies'. What's wrong with Bobby Sands?Well, The Green Brigade haven't been bastions of good taste this year like
Not techinically Irish I know, but it's possible these are the sort of fans who might see an Ireland Vs England game as a chance to start some trouble
A huge Bobby Sands banner facing the away end? Could happen

yeah but ronan keating, and spreading kerry katonas seed further into the worldIf you're suggesting starting every song sitting down and then standing up and walking to the front of the stage, while still singing, is a bad thing, then I suggest you reassess your stance young man
You sound like someone grasping for sommat to justify a silly statement, Mike.
The Micks, like the Jocks, have no "looney element".
If there is any trouble in Dublin it will be due to English fans of that ilk.
But I think even those days are over and the English travelling fans have cleaned up their act.
Should be quite an occasion.
Seamus, James Mac, Aiden and Gibbo versus Ross, Bainesy and either Jags or Rolling Stones.

Some right onions support Celtic mate
Rangers and Celtics worst are a horrid bunch of folk
Just another reason to "enjoy" the Old Firm I suppose
Oh sorry.
I thought we were discussing ROI and England fans and fans of international teams.
Not those of two teams in Glasgow, Scotland.
My bad.
