I just think the spectacle as a whole was great. not just the football. The characters like Roger Milla, coked up maradona, Roberto Baggio carrying Italy and the heartache for him at the end. Ireland beating Italy on my birthday, my first introduction to my one true love Daniel Amokachi. Stoichkov, Balakov and Ivanov (rip) in a great Bulgarian team. Bebeto and the baby clelbration, that Saudi lad who ran the length of the field to score a cracker, Martin Dahlin showing up etc etc. Aint none came close since for me.

I see that, but Brazil lost 7-1 in the semi final as host nation, so yano.
