Forwards: Jermain Defoe (Toronto FC), Rickie Lambert (Southampton), Jay Rodriguez (Southampton), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool), Daniel Welbeck (Manchester United).

Players I've put in bold are in my opinion mediocre or worse.

Those with a * are young players who I believe have the potential to be up there in the world class category in coming years, but right now are mediocre.

You appear to have not put Jack Wilshire in bold there mate.

defoe doesn't deserve to be there because he never plays, welbeck has barely featured lately either. same for lampard and tom cleverley is a horrible pick, lost on that one.

adam johnson not picked in his current form is pretty baffling tbh, surely he deserves it more than townsend?

think england need barry in WC, not because i'm biased and not that he'll be starting, but he should be backup to carrick. experience in that position is vital - even if he did look like a mug in his last competitive england game.

on current form, possibly barkley is lucky to get there, but he's been phenomenal this season and there aren't many better options, especially with regards to players comfortable with the ball at their feet.

the problem with the squad as ive stated before is that Roy knows who we wants to take so bar some amazing few months from someone who he hadn't thought of (or andy carroll) then noone else really out of the ordinary is going to get a call up now.

Luke shaw is clearly going to be bought by a top 4 club and rushed into the england fold. Lets pray for the team he is actually good.

I do laugh at people who keep pointing out how crap/average the team is as if it's brand new news and information.

Show me one England fan who thinks we'll do anything this summer (who is over the age of 10).

There isn't one.

We're not stupid. It's just nice to be there.

Hart, Foster, Forster
Baines, Shaw, Jagielka, Cahill, Jones, Davies, Johnson, Walker
Lallana, Ox, Gerrard, Henderson, Barry, Barkley, Sterling, Johnson
Sturridge, Rooney, Lambert, Crouch

But that's just me
