Worrying how many over-rated names there like Barry and Carrick imho. Skysports says how Wellbeck "leaps above the likes of Bent and Defoe" so assuming Bent isn't injured how earth he didn't make it is beyond me. Just my opinion though like.....

Bent played for Villa against Braga tonight, setting up N'Zogbia for the equaliser. Unless he was injured during the game, he's just been left out, which would be ridiculous. Incidentally, I didn't know he was dating Steve Bruce's daughter.

I'm sure the move was financially motivated and that it was an added perk for Bruce. He seems fairly laid back, but it would complicate life having those sort of ties.

Yeah I really can't see any logical reason as to why he wouldnt be picked ahead of at least one of those 4 strikers. Haha I didn't know that though about Bruces daughter either! Thanks for that

I thought he'd cemented his place recently. If it's anything other than injury, my opinion of Capello has sunk further.
