But 2022 should go to one of the other sides who bid and Australia is my favourite of those

Think they should just give it to a different middle eastern country, Turkey, Lebanon or iran all more than enough footballing pedigree and infrastructure to hold a proper world cup.

More chance of Ireland hosting it than England to be fair. Sure those nice chaps in FIFA have been funding our stadia for years plus they're bricking it of our CEO J.D. and who will threaten to sue useless we get it.

Either way, Qatar, a nation who have actually proposed hosting games in a different country, who can supposedly cater for the dying heat by building fancy stadiums, yet neglect to mention anything about fans in fanzones etc. A place where being gay is illegal, where alcohol is hard to come by and where betting and gambling is strongly frowned upon.

Come on, there is equality, then there's plain obviousness. A Nation of no bigger than Northern Ireland, with a tosh footballing nation, miraculously beat 'Powerhouses' Australia and USA to claim it, but it's not fixed honest

The best angle for all the FA's to take now would be 'we have no confidence that WC2022 was awarded in good faith. With this in mind, the additional toll of the hot weather plus the disruption to season schedules means they should be relocated away from Qatar'.

Corruption alone won't win the argument, but the other factors should sway it.

Would still probably like to see Australia host it though. They probably already have the infrastructure too, if they use AFL, rugby and cricket stadia.

Though from a personal point of view it's pennies to pounds that Sydney and Melbourne will get the semi's and final so the best we here in Brisbane will see is England go out in the quarters on Pens.

Bear in mind as well that a good proportion of the tournament may be in SA NSW and Vic and it gets a bit chilly, 12c, and rainy as well...bit of a change from 45c
