.....top ones (Clough, Ramsey, Venables) appear from a by gone era, I suppose the influx of foreign managers hasn't helped the cause. I suggest the bottom line is top players don't necessarilly make top managers.

There are now a breed of manager who's done all his badges by 30 and is gaining experience in management rather than actually playing.
