End of 3D coverage

The proper Real3D on the cinema is fantastic. Anyone who's seen Gravity and Prometheus world surely agree, irrespective of whether you liked the film. I think most films could benefit from being shown in this format.

The lazy 'double the image and overlay' approach is rubbish though. Have seen a demo of a 3D TV in ASDA and it was fun but I'd never buy it.

In conclusion, keep the 3D for the cinema.

Films filmed in 3D are better than post filming conversion.

Now that is a con! To charge more at cinemas.

The quality is rubbish. I literally walked out of wrath if the titans which was post conversion to 3D

Also 3D suits certain films more than others.

Sky just don't see the profit in it.

Rather than anything. Not enough will take a subscription.

I think Real3D could benefit pretty much any film, if just providing a nice depth of field rather than the silly 'in your face' gimmicks.

I am mainly concerned with the films shot in 2D then "converted" to 3D to make more money.

The quality is JARG snd barely noticeable and also you lose resolution.

The people on screen look like cardboard cut outs in front of a background.

Fully filmed 3D. Thats different.

Avatar is still the best I've seen. It looked great on the big screen in 3D.

Imagine if they could re-do 2001 properly with proper 3D. That would be fantastic.

It's all a big massive con.

Especially that blu ray.

Said it from the off that it doesn't work.

The general camera perspective for a football game (above) doesn't work. There's no depth of field.

The pitch side cameras and replys from lower angles look awesome as you get a picture filled from the foreground, middle, and background depth of field.
