Is it even illegal to grow it? Here in NI it's grown commercially for fabric manufacture or something. I would have thought that was the same case on the mainland UK, i.e., it's legal to grow it, but illegal to then use that for stoning purposes?

I don't think you've got that quite right. Cultivation in the UK is completely illegal as far as I know, and N.I. is no different. The hemp used for making rope and fabric is different, i.e. not C.Sativa, C.Indica or C.Ruderalis or any hybrid of them and won't get you high.

If it was legal to grow then people wouldn't be getting busted all the time.
