Everton FC has announced a freeze on all season ticket prices for the 2015/16 season.

This affects fans who have season tickets for the current year, of which there was a record number.

Season tickets for 2015/16 will go on sale on Monday, February 23 at 8am.

There are 30,000 season ticket holders, and Goodison Park welcomed over 4,000 more this current season.

Chief Executive Robert Elstone said: “The commitment of the Club to providing value for money and to making the game accessible to the widest possible cross-section of supporters means I’m pleased to confirm a price freeze on all Season Ticket offers.

“We also work hard every season to offer diverse payment options to help fans spread the cost. A fair pricing policy and the ambition demonstrated by the Club both on and off the pitch continues to ensure that average attendance remains up and Goodison Park plays out to more full houses, giving the team the best possible chance of success.”

Everton are selling adult season tickets from £444 and concessions from £328. Season tickets for under 16s will be from £149, and for under 11s from £95.

They are also offering an early Bird Discount with a minimum 25 per cent saving up to May 24.

About time too, with £20m more per season now coming from TV deals, and with the next deals going to be massively bigger as well.

To be honest, I think this is a bit of a missed opportunity by the club, to earn some brownie points and good media by dropping the prices.

Especially as today the Premier League is going to announce a new tv deal for 2016-19 worth £4.4BILLION, an increase of £1.4BILLION on the current tv deal. All clubs including Everton are getting even richer, whilst prices for the ordinary folk are standing still (whilst everyday living costs are rising).

It's good that the prices have been frozen (as someone else said, they could hardly raise them after this season), but they really could have afforded to reduce them a little to earn some good will, especially with this new tv deal.

They're going on sale earlier this year by about a month but great news that the Early Bird has been extended, I know that if I was having to do it in the next few weeks then 'she' would be hiding the cards.

Great News that the prices are being frozen.... yes they could've announced a drop in price with the new TV deal but the fact remains that it's costing US a lot less than others, I take 2 kids along as well for less then my mate pays for just him in Stretford End.
Of course we'd all like it to cost us as little as possible though.

Just hope that any job I get doesn't make me miss loads of games through clashing with shifts.

Was looking at Leigh Centurions website last night....

£195 standing (14 games if in super 8's)

£210 sitting

BUT get this.....

With Every Adult Season Ticket you can have 3 FREE Junior Season Tickets, and for every game an adult can take along a friend for FREE as well.

So all 5 of us could go along for £14 or £15....£15 ffs for a family of 5.

Sponking New Stadium as well so not as if standing in some arl crumbling shed like it used to be.

It used to be the case as well that Kids season Tickets were valid for any Superleague game, meaning they got in aways for free but if they wanted to go along to Saints v Wigan they could get into that for free as well.

On the other hand if no other club follows suit then there is the potential to fall even further behind. Everton's prices might seem exhorbitant in the real world where us mere mortals have to live, but are comparatively reasonable against many of our direct opposition.

Spot on. We have just played the dark side, their ticket prices are half ours again and just signed a kit deal worth 300 Million, there in lies the problem, and endless other deals that they get millions for. Would love to just pay a tenner for each game but we have to try as reasonable as we can to raise the funds to try and compete.
