It's that time of year again to look forward to the Edinburgh fringe festival, just wondering whether any of you guys out there are going to the festival, working at the festival or better still appearing in it ( there are a few comedians out there)
I've been going to each of the last 6 festivals with the missus,we are half an hour on the train away, we get there about noon and take in a show in the afternoon and one in evening.
The atmosphere is electric and the amount of bars that pop up from nowhere to supply the large crowds is amazing.
We tend to go and see well known comedians as the unknown ones are more miss than hit as we have found out to our cost in the past.
I would strongly recommend anyone in a position to do so to try and visit at some point though I would look to stay somewhere outside the city as accommodation during the fest. can be extortionate.

Like yourself larbert toffee, we're only half an hour on the train to Edinburgh and always head through a couple of times during the Festival. Usually take in the atmosphere in the city especially Princes St. gardens, Royal Mile, Grassmarket and Cowgate areas during the day, few beers and something to eat, then a show in the evening...look forward to it every year.

Think about going for a day when I go visit my brother in Aberdeen. So much on each day that I felt slightly sick just trying to work things out lol.
