I am moving to Edinburgh next month and am looking for people who travel to Good is on from there as I am a season ticket holder. Also for those games I can't attend, are there any Everton friendly pubsbin the city? Thanks in advance.

I was there in Feb when we played Chelsea on Sky, couldn't find anything with it on, not ever the big sports bar near the train station that had about 30 TV's. Celtic and Scotland Rugby Union team was on at the same time though.

I'm only about half an hour from Edinburgh mate, but rarely go into town as I usually head to Glasgow. Bound to be a few on here who would be able to sort a decent pub for you to watch games in.

Was in Edinburgh couple of years ago ,stayed in travel lodge ,the guy behind the desk was an everton fan who went to games

That autocorrect made me giggle.

Cheers for those, will have a gun around when I get up there
Best thing to do really. Low chance of watching football when Celtic are playing though (or there's rugby as pointed out earlier), at least that's how it is in Glasgow.

From what I've seen no one is really hostile against us, so doubt you'd have any problems really...

I used to live there, near the meadows - don't know of any Everton alehouses round those parts but there could be in the rest of the city. Didn't used to have a problem watching our games if they were on sky etc. Only time it could be aggravating was on a six-nations weekend. As mentioned, Edinburgh is infested with rugby-union watching beauts, desperate to see Scotland get tanked by Albania or whoever. This will always take precedence.

Drive down to Liverpool is OK for the game - the A702 is a ballache, 1 hour to do 37 miles, but you can steam down the M74 / M6 as far as Preston way. Must be one of the clearest motorway stretches in the country. Watch out for snide speed camera vans on bridges over the M6 in Cumbria.

It s going to be tough getting the game as I'm on shift work as well, just can't bring it in me to get rid of me seat, leave it with my friend up in formby so it doesn't go to waste, saving my holidays for Europe away.
