I don't think his shooting from anywhere is any good. It's actually rare to see a player miss the target so often when shooting.

In answer to the OP, do we shoot that often from the edge of the box? It seems rare these days that we shoot from distance. I mean we got Gibson from the mancs who complained all he ever did was shoot, and I'd say he doesn't shoot enough for us!

I can barely remember Gibson having a long ranger for us really.

Obviously depends on your definition of long ranger, we have the odd shot from the edge of the box (as Gibson did against Man City) but hardly ever any further.

How many 25 yard + goals have we scored under Moyes? Could be the players but we never have seemed to shoot that much from distance.

The question is rather when they should shoot. If you look at our season so far we've played a good passing game with the variety of long balls to Fellaini. When we do a nice passing game we've usually come all the way into their penaltybox so no need to shoot from afar, and when we've passed Fellaini he is usually fairly close to the penaltybox as well.
I think one of the other reasons we seldom score from long distance shooting is that our freekicker is a defender so therefore not really into the position to unleash a cracking longdistance shot from open play.

I knew i must have been forgetting some.

Of course Bily had a few crackers as well.

You'd assume that if players are happy to shoot from distance and actually good at it thats fine, but if not we don't bother working on it so its not a part of our game plan.
