Chris

a whole wheel of cheese?
Was clicking around on ebay and decided I'd buy a new keyboard for my computer. I ended up buying a new pc as it was so cheap!

£215 quid for a brand new quad core pc with 4gb ram, 1TB harddisk, keyboard, speakers, mouse etc and all on a decent motherboard. Only downside is the video card is raaaaabbish(but still pci-e x16 if you know what that is).
Quick £60 purchase on ebuyer later(for a new ATI gfx card) and I've just got a brand new pc (without monitor) for under £300 delivered.

Gotta love ebay!

Whats the best deal you've ever had off there?

Yeah I priced an XPS? system on there of the same spec with no monitor etc and it was over 500 quid!

Fleabay! It's the new tesco.

Asrock 4Core 1600FSB 2xpci 1xpci-e x16.
Kingston (but only after I rang and asked for it!) 800mhz DDR2 (although the board takes DDR3)

PSU is a just some dodge 500w one, but it is very quiet.
Case is quite vulgar to look at with all those blaardy LEDs and fan grille's on but even the case fans are quite quiet. Going to pop it all in to my old CoolerMaster case anyway.
CPU is Q6600 2.4ghz, but I've had it running at 2.7(x4) since I turned it on. Idle at 41-42C. Ran some benchmarking 3D tests and it hit 59C on standard cooling. The chip doesn't run very hot anyway, it's quite good even without beefed up cooling. I did change the heat paste for silver stuff though.
Seagate SATA HDD's. Not my favourite brand at all(prefer Fujitsu) but I can hardly hear them spinning up.

It could be quieter I suppose with 4 fans on the go, but for the price it's an absolute killer pc.
Good base to upgrade to QCE cpu's too if I get the urge.

I almost bought another from this guy :
http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/palicomp/

He has some decent q6600 deals on.

I've just had a thought. Trying to buy zune stuff in the UK is impossible. But I REALLY want a zune dock. Any willing Americans want to find me a cheap one and I'll wire some paypal cash?
