As you say, it really was boss. I was spawny enough to get a ticket to one of their shows (Man Machine) at The Tate in 2013, where all the modern footage was shot. A mate and I also flew over to Amsterdam a fortnight ago to see them again (Radio-Activity this time). Ive been a massive fan ever since they blew me - and everyone else - away at the Royal Court in about 91. Their place in the annals of music history is something most people don't realise.
I thought it was boss listening t Derrick May describing how all the black youth in places like Detroit and Chicago somehow viewed these 4 weird-looking Germans as uber cool.
