Buy a Shark.

My missus worked for Dyson for a bit. I can confirm the bellendery of the man. He was refused plann8ng permission for a helipad at his mansion to aid his commute to work. His son used the line "do you know who i am?" His chopper now flies over my house regularly, creating a racket.

we got a Dyson cheaply when she earned there - we now have a shark which is better in every way - suction, noise, build quality, battery longevity, nimbleness.

Mind you, the vax I bought in 1989 is still going strong in the shed.

I once went into a local Electrical shop for some light bulbs, the back door was open into his Stockroom. I could see a dozen Dysons lined up and made a joke about him collecting them, he said they were all there to be repaired and that faulty Dysons kept him in business.

No there crap, the battery life is terrible after about 20 charges and you spend the whole time cleaning it out.

Have been using them for a few years.

Not worth the money, if you have the setting on max the battery doesn't last very long at all (fair enough I suppose). Over time the battery drains quicker and replacements are not cheap.

No wires are convenient, short battery life (eventually) is crap.

I've heard good things about the shark so that's worth considering. Also, as your house is mainly tiles just get a robot vacuum. You can pay a premium for Roomba or there's a good Chinese one by Xiaomi (I think it's sold as 'MI Home' in Europe.) Really good on hard floors. Set it up to do a sweep every night. Job done.

Edit: just had a quick Google, shark do Robot Vacuum cleaners too if your paranoid about the Chinese stealing all the data from you via their phone app.
