Yeah but he's got a massive third leg, so if the winger gets past him he can just throw it out and sweep up the ball with ease.I wouldn’t tbh, not quick or aggressive enough to be a defender for me.

I think Ndiaye and McNeil are both really inside forwards, and what the team has a screaming need for is attacking fullbacks. These two can play on either side, but they're not wingers, and that's fine. Charly is a #10 who can play as a second striker, and he loves working with Beto and putting balls into space for him. Beto says that Charlie is always telling him, "today I make you an assist!" I think this quartet can be magic whatever happens with incomings, and if they played a full season together, could really shock a lot of people.
We were basically a set piece team and he took every one, to slow and one footed and not good enough to be a regular for a team that wants to kick on, he will be on the bench next season and probably sold the following summer
He’s only got more than 4 goals once in 7 years in the top flight, his left foot can’t be that good, he also doesn’t get a lot of assists from open play. Ndiaye got more goals this season than he’s ever got in a season.
His assists stats are a bit misleading, the fact you mention, Baines, Pienaar and Arteta, proves it, when all them 3 are streets ahead of him as footballers. He’s spent the majority of his career playing under a manager who was obsessed with long ball and set pieces, he took every set piece under dyche at Everton and probably did at Burnley. From open play I’d guess he’s not in the top 250 for Asaists.Okay, a player with a goal involvement every 114 minutes last season is not a very useful squad option.
Does he get enough enough goals? Probably not, but since he's found himself more central he's definitely started smashing some great ones in. He's 25 btw, and is 17 assists shy of being in the top 50 premier league assisters of all time. He's on course to finish with probably between 60-70 which would put him in the top 26, above people such as Scholes, Mahrez, Firmino, Baines, Mcmanaman and a whole host of others. Does he have fllaws? Obviously, but anybody who can't see he has qualities to offer the squad must think it's just dead easy to consistently supply assists. His 33 premier league assists is only bettered by 3 Everton players (prem era): Baines, Pienaar & Arteta.
Pens and set pieces 99% of the probablyWard Prowse has 57 Prem goals and 47 Prem assists.
Stats don’t tell the full story on players.
